Areas of expertise : System performance, functional safety & dependability
A prerequisite of functional safety, reliability and similar analyses is design quality. As a result we are active in two large areas of interest
Systems engineering & design quality– System definition – Stakeholder requirements – Requirements management – Interface management – Configuration management – Change management |
Pure Functional safety & Dependability engineering– Functional safety analysis (application of IEC 61508 and sector derivates like EN50128) – RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance) – LCC & TCO management – RAMS engineering process – Technical Analyses (FTA, ETA, FMECA, RBD, …) – FRACAS |
Level of involvement
Over the many projects we’ve been involved with, we acted on behalf of all possible levels in the value chain: from operators and end customers, over main contractors and integrators, as well as producers and up to assessment bodies.
Types of projects
Depending on project needs, we:
- Execute technical dependability & RAMS-analyses
- Assist in setting up the functional safety, systems engineering or RAMS-processes: process design, training, …
- Assure the necessary tools to support the processes: requirements management tool, documents management tool, RAMS tools
- Perform independent (safety) assessments (ISA) as defined by the international standards
- Provide managerial support while setting up the necessary engineering quality and project management processes,
Domains
We apply our expertese in the following domains:
- Guided transport : rail infrastructure, signalling, rolling stock, tunnels, metro, tram
- Public infrastructure: waterworks, locks, road tunnels, mobile bridges
- Energy: generation and distribution of energy
- Automotive: people mover, individual (automated)
- Avionics
